Asnake Melesse

Asnake Melesse was born in 1977 in Ethiopia. After graduating from the Addis Ababa University School of Fine Art and Design, he has worked as a full-time studio artist at Kirar Art Studio since 2003.

In 2002, he received a certificate in Basic Sculpture from the Austrian Embassy. An experienced and professional artist, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Ethiopia and abroad.

In 2011, Asnake was awarded the Art Computational Award presented by the Embassy of the United States in Addis Ababa. His work is also on permanent display at the Addis Ababa Museum.
